NFTs are not dead, they just change direction

As early as 2023, we see a shift from many short-term, opportunistic, and smaller NFT campaigns to fewer, but much larger, long-term Web3 projects that are much more fundamental to core business strategy. NFTs that create tangible value for the customer create tangible business value. NFTs are not investment assets. NFTs are for businesses. In our view, one of the most important use cases for NFTs in the future will be token gating. NFTs serve as access tokens that grant users exclusive rights or privileges to certain content, services, or experiences. This is exactly the stylistic device we implemented in the brand experience of Foot Locker's Virtual Stripes NFT project to increase customer engagement.

Foot Locker NFT Project

Together with Foot Locker we developed their first NFT project as a Web3 agency, which was presented to the public for the first time last week. With the "Virtual Stripes" Foot Locker not only manifests their brand identity in Web3, but also realizes their vision of the future of customer loyalty.

For example, members of Foot Locker's customer loyalty program (FLX) receive exclusive access in the form of an NFT to Foot Locker's new digital world. Each NFT represents the Striper community and, in turn, the digital identity in Foot Locker's Web3 world. Stripers are considered the heart and brand identity of Foot Locker. They embody everything the brand stands for. For this reason, it only makes sense for Foot Locker to connect their loyal customers to the brand values through the Virtual Stripes project. We'll describe more detailed information about the concept, benefits, design and future of Foot Locker in a later article.

The key word for the entire project is "benefit." From the very beginning of the collaboration, it was important to us and to Foot Locker that the NFT project was by no means designed solely for marketing reasons. So, for the first time, participants not only have a 100 percent chance of winning Foot Locker's FLX program, but also receive physical or virtual rewards. At the same time, the Virtual Stripes NFT is the ticket to other Foot Locker NFT projects, future events and community building activities.

Virtual Stripes creates tangible added value for customers right from the start. Complexity remains completely in the background. We made accessing Foot Locker's Virtual Stripes Web3 project as easy as unlocking an iPhone with FaceID.

Most people don't know how the engine in their cars works or how their smartphone connects to the Internet. Technology has already advanced to the point where it is invisible to the consumer and simply runs in the background.
